Tintypes Cast Announced
New and Familiar Faces Form To Make Cast

The Marshall Civic Players are proud to announce the cast for the first production of their 65th season, the musical, Tintypes. This Tony nominated, nostalgic, musical revue takes us back to turn of the century America and is a brew of popular songs from 1890 to 1917. Tintypes runs September 5-8. A special show time is set at 7:00 p.m., Thursday-Saturday to accommodate Marshall's Home Tour guests, with a 2:30 p.m matinee on Sunday.

The three female cast members are new to the Marshall Civic Players stage. Playing the part of Anna Held, the beautiful music hall star, is Regina McLeod of Kalamazoo.
Regina is a junior at Kalamazoo Central High School and has performed with the Kalamazoo Civic Theater. Lynda Wolfersberger Hensel as Emma Goldman, the notorious socialist, hails from Battle Creek having done numerous performances with both the Battle Creek Civic Theater and What A Do Theater. One of Marshall's newest residents, Karen Diatta will be playing the part of Susannah, a domestic worker. Karen just finished working as a parent volunteer on the youth production of Once Upon a Mattress where it was suggested, by the producer, that she audition for Tintypes. This will be Karen's first time on stage but certainly not her last! MCP stage veteran Dave Long will be playing the part of a young Teddy Roosevelt at the beginning of his political career. Dave was last seen as Simon in Jesus Christ Superstar. Rounding out this strong cast is Sam Friia as Charlie, the Chaplin-esque Russian immigrant. Sam is relatively new to the MCP stage having recently played the part of Flute in A Midsummer Night's Dream and multiple characters in Jesus Christ Superstar.

Serving as Artistic Director for Tintypes is Randy Wolfe of Battle Creek. Randy is the executive director for What A Do Theater. Randy has directed and performed in several MCP productions as well as many other theaters throughout lower Michigan. Musical Director is Wendy Wheeler of Kalamazoo. Wendy is the musical director at the First United Methodist Church in Battle Creek.
